Instituted 16 June 1901 by the Province of Hannover. (1901 1918). Constructed of silvered bronze, affixed to a backplate of identical construction with its period original ribbon, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 55 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), in very fine condition.
